The Forgotten Fortress

In a distant past, vast empires conquered this world with weapons and magics long since lost to time. Their domination wasn’t eternal, however. Their endless lust for expansion would inevitably lead them into conflict with one another. And when that conflict came to pass, it destroyed them. 

Little now remains of this great and terrible war. Remote plots of poisoned land. Wandering ghosts in the forgotten parts of the world. Even the sages of deep lore can only guess as to the true nature of the conflict. 

Your party, unlucky travelers, have come across one of the few reminders of this war. A fortress where unimaginable suffering once took place, and restless dead still patrol. These travelers won’t find answers here, just more questions.
